Brad's Guitar Page

If I had a page about playing guitar, this is where it would be. But since I don't have such a page, there's just this instead, a ridiculous assortment of incoherent lists.

Rane SM-26B -> Korg D3200 recorder

The '70 fuzz pedal had to be first, since it sounds like trash if it receives a buffered signal, such as mine is anywhere after the BS-2 and coming out of the Switchblade. The SD-1 and Big Muff are in series, sharing a single Switchblade loop. I plan to eventually have enough loops to put each pedal in their own loop, including an "un-buffered" loop for the '70; either by way of upgrading to a Switchblade GL or using a GRX-4 or GCX as a sub-switcher for pedals. Meanwhile, running a Big Muff into an SD-1 can make some pretty nice distortions; I'm more a fan of overdrive-style distortion, so the SD-1 adds some clarity back to the crazy, fuzzy Big Muff sound.

I use the Rane SM-26B mixer to catch the extra output channels of the stereo units and send a mix of them to the Korg digital recorder. Previously, it mixed a mono signal from the split rig I was using before getting the Switchblade.

The FV-300L is connected to the FX-1 and used as an expression pedal to send CC messages to various rack units, depending on the preset. Examples include volume controls on the Switchblade, mix levels on the Mod Pro (to slowly fade in a flanger effect), and delay feedback on the 606 (to go from a couple of repeats to endless repeats).
